Commercial Solar Projects and Case Studies

Ferrius Energy has delivered more than 120 commercial solar projects totaling over 25 MW across rooftop, ground-mount, and solar farm installations. This page collects our installations by state, and each major project is being documented as a full case study with system size, engineering decisions, schedule, and results.

A hotel owner wants to see another hotel. An industrial operator wants to see a plant with a similar load profile. An investor wants to see a solar farm that reached Permission to Operate on schedule. Case studies are organized so each reader can find the project closest to their own.

Case Study Standard

What every Ferrius case study documents

A photo proves a system exists. A case study proves how it was engineered, permitted, and built. Each published case study follows the same structure so owners, lenders, and asset managers can compare projects on the variables that actually drive returns.

Site and load

Property type, utility and rate class, annual consumption, and the load profile the system was sized against.

System design

kW DC and kW AC, mounting type, modules and inverters, roof or structural constraints, and paired storage where applicable.

Permitting and interconnection

Permitting path, interconnection track, utility upgrades, and the time from application to Permission to Operate.

Incentives and results

State program (for example SMART 3.0 in Massachusetts), federal tax treatment, modeled versus measured production, and owner outcomes.
